What to do about missing black men

Black men are missing from daily life. We ought to treat this problem as a public health crisis. Because it is, truly, an epidemic.
As a single black woman living in Milwaukee, I feel and see this void of black men every day.
Because of early deaths or because they are behind bars, there are 83 black men for every 100 black women between the ages of 25 and 54 living outside of jail.
There are so many places where black men can be but they just aren’t there.
